Untitled Poem

If I were to lose everything tomorrow
everything I love... gone.
Perhaps victim of hatred and evil and my distance from You.

Up I would drag myself from the depths of darkness
tear-filled eyes searching for You

Prone, broken-boned and weak; I -will- reach a crawl
(I fear disappointing You)
Crawling, ragged breath and determined; I -will- limp
(This is Your strength, not mine)
Limping, strained and hopeful, I -will- stand
(You are everything, there is no other)
Walking, steady and joyful, I -will- reach You

And standing beside You is everything I love,
and all the love I could ever need
